The announcement text: |
This organisation is a joint venture between two major construction organisations formed primarily to provide business, construction and maintenance services for both the private and public sector with a particular focus on MoD Prime Contracting.
Since the formation they have developed an exceptional reputation for sustainability and Health and Safety within their unique business model designed to continuously improve value for money and the quality and delivery of services.
In addition to their work within “secure environments” (they also do work on prisons), they offer clients a great deal of expertise in the health, transport infrastructure, local authority and utility sectors.
Something that makes them unique within their market is the level of integration which they achieve with their clients; the key benefit of which is the breaking down of the traditional distinction between client and contractor which exists between other organisations and the people they serve. j As Technical Services Officer (TSO) your primary role will be to supervise teams engaged on maintenance and new works projects to ensure that they are achieving required standards of productivity and quality while complying with essential health and safety provisions.
Those teams will be a mix of directly employed staff and also external contractors who will be working on your sites on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical projects typically up to the value of £1 million.
Your role will be to monitor their activity, ensure that they are using suitable plant and equipment for the task they have been assigned to do and that staff have the appropriate permits and qualifications. You will also be required to provide technical support where required and to perform audits*inspections on completed work while providing feedback to the client.
